The incoming Prime Minister, Theresa May, announced this week that she would be reforming boardroom governance, pushing for more consumer and employee representatives to sit on company boards, to help rebuild trust in big businesses.
I spoke to Edward Craft – a corporate partner at Wedlake Bell specialising in Corporate governance, and began by asking Edward whether he was surprised to hear about her plans – especially considering they came from a leading tory, as the reforms sound more reminiscent of a Labour or Liberal Democrat vision.
